Is it a bit sad that I immediately recognized that Reddy pose from the 'Tec #493 cover?
ReplyDeleteThis was the only portion I sort of like from one of my least favorite Aparo covers. I guess I left this post wordless because subconsciously didn't want anybody actually looking up the painfully awkward original Detective Comics #493. That Red Tornado story is a curiosity: they slapped a "Tales of Gotham City" logo on it, but that was surely an afterthought, an unnecessary effort to tie this story in to the Batman Family. I haven't read it in a while, but I seem to recall that they didn't even bother actually establishing that this story took place in Gotham anywhere in the text.
